A project designed working with Systra. A double skin of perforated copper and glass is placed upon the stations volume like a veil. The glass skin is
a constant barrier to the exterior, while the copper skin lifts at its lower edges to reveal the public functions of the concourse and to allow
entry kiosks to merge with the main volume. Daylight is tempered and then poetically filters into the structure to provide thermal comfort.
The lifting of the veil achieves a resolutely contemporary and elegant form through a custom parametric algorithm.
site specific skins respond to each location of the elevated stations
a parametric model allows the exterior skin to be easily lifted to increase light and views depending on each station's site
